HOW IT WORKS
CREATING YOUR PERSONAL VIDEO MEMOIR
For more information about our process working with nonprofits, please contact us directly.

DEFINING YOUR PROJECT
Let’s explore the different types of video memoirs we can create for you.
These might include:
- A single video telling a specific story, for presentation at a life cycle event
- An A&E style miniseries, covering many decades or even generations, presented in episodes
- Interviews with multiple family members, each telling their piece of the larger family story
- Your life lessons and messages for future generations
- Together, we will discuss your goals for your personal video memoir, and develop a plan to fit your budget.

PREPARING FOR YOUR INTERVIEWS
We will meet (in person, by phone, or over zoom) to get a basic sense of what to expect in your interview. I will give you questions to think about, and ask you to fill out a basic family tree.

THE INTERVIEW PROCESS
Our professional crew will come to film you in the comfort of your own home. This also provides us with the opportunity to film you showing us treasured family heirlooms, photos, and other artifacts that are meaningful to you. Depending on the scope of your video memoir, we typically schedule 2-3 sessions to complete your interviews.

EDITING AND DELIVERY
Now it’s our job to take the hours of interview footage and edit it all into a cohesive, compelling story, weaving in family photos, home video, and other memorabilia. Your final video may be a single, longer documentary, or we can divide your story into short episodes like a miniseries.
